NaNoWriMo

If you love my blog posts, I just want to let you know that I will try to post at least once per week during the month of November. I'm currently undertaking my adventure to write my second 50,000 word novel. This month it's about getting the ideas down on paper with a (cough, cough) commitment to go back and edit the manuscript in February.

NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month and if you think you have a story to tell, you likely do. To sign up, you can visit www.nanowrimo.org and measure your word count daily.

My novel is about an immigrant who flees the Democratic Republic of Congo, comes to the United States, and the sacrifices he makes along the way. It's out of my comfort zone, but it's a story that needs told.

My word count as of 5:00 today is 3920 words. I can earn my next badge at 5,000 words and at that time I am 10% done.

I love writing. I eventually want to be published (you know in a book format), but it's a scary world. So for now, please accept my apologies that

blog posts will be done sparingly until my novel is complete.
