The Night Before by Wendy Walker

It's been awhile since I've shared my love for a book, but that doesn't mean I have stopped reading. I just haven't done much writing.

Today's book is a page-turner. There's a band of childhood friends—Rosie, Joe, Gabe, and Laura—who still hang out, especially after Laura moves home to live with her sister. Laura's relationships with men are complicated. When she decides to go out on a blind date and doesn't return home the next morning, Rosie (her sister) is worried and sets out looking for her.

Wendy Walker does an excellent job of keeping readers turning the page to find out what happens next. The bulk of the story happens between Thursday at 7 PM and Saturday at 10 PM, so it is more than 300 pages of riveting details about what happens in the characters' lives during that time period, with some sprinkles of Laura's therapy sessions interwoven.

If you like suspense, a little thrill, and a well-written story, you'll definitely enjoy this book.
